Position Overview
We are seeking an Offshore Engineer for a Coast Guard vessel position. This role requires valid STCW certification and offers a worldwide rotational contract with competitive daily rates.
Offer Details
- Salary/Wage: €120 per day net (negotiable based on experience)
- Location: Worldwide
- Contract: 28 days +/- 1 month (depending on project), possibility of rotational employment
- Vessel Type: Coast Guard vessel (possibly CTV, tugs, or other small craft)
- Hiring Company: OJ Crew (provider of HR management services for maritime, oil, and gas sectors)
- Required Training: CoC III/5 (Certificate of Competency for operational level engineering officers, equivalent to specialised technical training in maritime engineering)
- Benefits: Good working conditions, possibility of rotational employment, candidates without offshore experience will be considered
Requirements
- Valid STCW certificates
- Medical certificate
- Previous experience on CTV, tugs, or other small craft (advantage)
- Good level of English
- CoC III/5 (Certificate of Competency for operational level engineering officers)
- EU passport holders (due to tax payments by the company)
Responsibilities
According to STCW, typical functions of an offshore engineer include: operation and maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary machinery, supervision of engineering systems, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and support in specific Coast Guard vessel operations.
