Required Training

Official nautical training as an Engineer Officer, with STCW certification applicable to the rank.

Requirements

  • Full STCW certification according to rank
  • BOSIET / FOET
  • DP Maintenance Certificate
  • Minimum 12 months of experience on MPSV vessels

Responsibilities

  • Second Engineer Officer: As per STCW, typical duties include supervising the engine department under the direction of the Chief Engineer, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and managing technical documentation.
  • Third Engineer Officer: As per STCW, typical duties include assisting in the operation and maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary systems, standing engine room watches, and supporting safety tasks.
