Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Second Deck Officer for a General Cargo (GC) vessel. This is a 4-month contract position with a salary of 4000 EUR per month. The successful candidate will join the vessel approximately at the end of May. The vessel is a 3850 dwt General Cargo ship, Portuguese flag, built in 2024, and operated by Travelclub44 (German owners).
Requirements
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for Second Deck Officer
- Experience on general cargo vessels
- Availability to join approximately at the end of May
- Ability to work in a mixed crew environment
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Officer with navigation watches
- Supervise loading and unloading operations according to the stowage plan
- Maintenance of deck and safety equipment
- Compliance with onboard safety and security procedures
- According to STCW, typical duties include supervision of navigation watches, maintenance of safety equipment, and assistance with port operations

- Updated STCW training certificates
- Valid passport
- Medical fitness certificate
