Position description and key responsibilities: A Second Engineer is sought for a Bulk Carrier with a deadweight of 63,000 tonnes and built in 2016. The main responsibilities will include supervising the maintenance of the ship’s machinery, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards, as well as collaborating with the mixed crew to ensure efficient operation of the vessel.
Requirements and qualifications: The ideal candidate must hold appropriate certifications for the position of Second Engineer in merchant shipping and have previous experience working on bulk carriers. Demonstrated skills in machinery management and working in a multicultural environment are essential.
Additional details: The employment is on a freelance basis, with a planned start date of 15/05/2025. The contract duration will be 5 months with the possibility of extension for an additional month.
