Requirements

Duties
- Per STCW and company procedures, the Second Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the vessel's machinery and equipment, including main engines, auxiliary systems, and deck machinery.
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the engine room watchkeeping, maintenance planning, and execution of planned maintenance system (PMS).
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, and MLC 2006 regulations regarding engine room operations and environmental protection.
- Maintain engine room logs and records, and supervise engine room ratings as directed.
