Requirements

Responsibilities
According to STCW, typical functions of a Second Engineer include:
- Supervision of the engine room team
- Maintenance of vessel machinery and systems
- Management of the engine room
- Compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Support to the Chief Engineer in the technical operation of the vessel
Required Documentation
- Unlimited UK Certificate of Competency (CoC) or UK FSE
- UK passport or documentation of right to work in the UK/frontier worker permit
- Updated STCW documentation (including basic safety training, personal survival, etc.)
