We are seeking a Third Deck Officer for an oil/chemical tanker position with an international fleet. This is a temporary contract role offering competitive remuneration and the opportunity to work with a mixed international crew.
Offer Details
- Salary: 3800-4000 USD/month
- Location: International location (anywhere)
- Contract: Temporary contract for 6 months (±1 month)
- Vessel Type: Oil/chemical tanker (12,000 DWT)
- Hiring Company: Trident Maritime
- Required Training: Merchant marine officer qualification (Degree in Nautical Studies or equivalent)
- Benefits: Mixed international crew, contract according to MLC 2006 convention (Additional Information: According to STCW, the third officer on tankers must have specific training in dangerous cargo operations and advanced firefighting certification)
Requirements
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for deck officer
- Good level of English
- Previous experience on tankers (preferable)
- Availability to embark on 25/03/2026
Responsibilities
- Assist the first and second officers in navigation watches
- Supervise loading/unloading operations of petroleum/chemical products
- Maintenance of deck equipment and safety systems
- Compliance with ISM/ISPS procedures on tanker
- Management of nautical and cargo documentation
