Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Third Engineer to join the engineering team on container vessels operating in international transit. This is a long-term maritime contract position with competitive benefits.

Requirements

  • Experience in the rank of Third Engineer
  • Experience with MAN B&W ME or MC engines
  • Valid Skipper’s Licence or Certificate of Competency for the position (according to STCW)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer in the operation and maintenance of the propulsion and auxiliary plant
  • Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on MAN B&W ME or MC engines
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards on board (according to SOLAS and MARPOL)
  • Maintain engineering records and report incidents

Required Documentation

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Updated STCW certificates (including basic training, safety and specialisation)
  • Skipper’s Licence or Certificate of Competency
  • Valid seaman’s book and passport
