Required Qualifications
- Merchant Marine Engineer Officer qualification (STCW compliant training)

- BOSIET certificate (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training)
- GWO Sea Survival certificate (Global Wind Organisation)
- Demonstrable experience as Third Engineer Officer on similar vessels (cable layers or specialised vessels)
Responsibilities
- Supervision and maintenance of vessel propulsion systems and auxiliary machinery
- Control of electrical and automation systems
- Management of the engine room during assigned watch
- Compliance with safety and environmental procedures
- Collaboration with the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer in daily operations
- According to STCW, typical functions include: preventive and corrective maintenance, fuel and lubricant management, supervision of fire safety systems, and support in cable laying operations.
