Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Bosun to join the crew of the MV Ocean Explorer, a 120-metre research vessel operated by Global Marine Services. This is a permanent contract position with an immediate start date of 15th October 2024. The role involves worldwide travel, including expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic regions, with a standard rotation of 4 months on / 2 months off. Requirements Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Bosun on vessels over 80 metres. Valid STCW certification, including Basic Safety Training and Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats. ENG1 medical certificate or equivalent. Proficiency in English (spoken and written). Experience with dynamic positioning systems and ice navigation is highly desirable.
