Description of the position and key responsibilities: We are looking for a Chief Engineer to work on board a container ship. The main responsibilities include overseeing the operation and maintenance of the main engine and auxiliary systems of the ship, in this case a SULZER WARTSILA 12RT-flex96C. The candidate is expected to ensure the operational efficiency of the machinery and coordinate the engine room personnel.

Requirements and qualifications: Previous experience on container ships or similar vessels. Demonstrable knowledge in handling and maintaining SULZER WARTSILA engines or equivalent. Appropriate and up-to-date certification to comply with international maritime regulations.

Additional details: Contract type: 4 months with the possibility of a 1-month extension. Deadweight tonnage (DWT): 102,518 tonnes. TEU capacity: 8,586 containers.
