Second Engineer for Container Ship at Columbia Shipmanagement
Description of the position and key functions: We are looking for a Second Engineer to join the crew of a container ship with a deadweight tonnage (DWT) of 13,760 tons and a capacity for 1,118 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit). The main engine is a MAN B&W 7L58/64. Responsibilities include supervising and maintaining the propulsion equipment and other technical systems on board, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the vessel.
Requirements and qualifications: Previous experience as a Second Engineer on similar vessels is required. Suitable training in marine engineering, as well as relevant licenses and certifications to work in this position are necessary. Specific technical knowledge of the MAN B&W 7L58/64 engine will be valued.
Additional details: The contract offered is for a duration of 4 +/- 1 months. Candidates are expected to be available to start within the stipulated timeframe according to the contract.
