The Master holds overall command of the vessel and is responsible for the safety of the crew, ship and cargo, as well as compliance with international regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW). Duties include supervising LPG loading and discharging operations, ensuring safe navigation and managing ship documentation.
Under the STCW Convention, the Master must hold a valid Master's certificate and tanker-specific endorsements, including safety and fire-fighting training. Previous experience on LPG carriers is valued.
