Full description

A Chief Engineer is required to join a non-DP Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel engaged in towing operations in the waters of the United Arab Emirates. The contract is based on a rotation of 2 months on board followed by 1 month of unpaid leave. The salary offered is USD 240 per day, plus a USD 30 client approval allowance once final approval is obtained, resulting in a total of USD 270 per day (approximately USD 8,100 per month during on-board periods). The candidate must have a minimum of 24 months' experience as Chief Engineer on offshore AHTS vessels engaged in towing operations. Under the STCW Convention, the Chief Engineer is responsible for the technical supervision of all propulsion, auxiliary and safety systems on board, as well as the management of the engine department personnel and compliance with international regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL). Typical duties include planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance, managing spare parts and consumables, and coordinating with the Master and other officers to ensure the vessel's operational readiness for towing and anchor handling operations. Leadership skills and previous experience on similar vessels will be valued.
