Full description

Seven Seas Maritime Services is looking for an experienced Master to join an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel operating in UAE/Oman. The vessel, built in 2006, has 4,000 BHP and 500 GRT. The contract is on a rotational basis of 10-12 weeks on/off, with joining around 15th November. The salary is 400 EUR per day, with a possible additional HRA bonus. The candidate must have previous experience as Master on AHTS vessels (minimum 24 months), as well as strong and proven experience in open-sea towing and salvage operations (minimum 2 or 3 towage operations), which is a must. Valid STCW certificates and good command of English are required. The candidate must be willing to operate in the Strait of Hormuz, which may involve operations in a conflict/high-risk area, and must be fully aware of the current regional circumstances and comfortable working under such conditions. According to the STCW Convention, the Master is responsible for the safety of the vessel, crew and cargo, as well as compliance with international regulations. On an AHTS, duties include planning and executing towing and salvage operations, supervising anchor handling manoeuvres and operating specialised equipment. Experience on this type of vessel is crucial to ensure the efficiency and safety of operations.
