A Second Officer is required to join a general cargo vessel under the Dutch flag. The ship has a gross tonnage of 6,130 GT and a deadweight of 9,567 tonnes, powered by a Wärtsilä engine of 3,960 kW. The joining date is scheduled between weeks 45 and 47, with a contract duration of 3 months (±1). The salary offered is EUR 4,500 net per month, negotiable depending on experience.
The candidate must hold valid STCW and medical certificates, as well as a very good command of working English. Previous experience in the rank on a similar type of vessel is required. Only EU candidates will be considered.
Under the STCW Convention, the Second Officer is responsible for navigational watches and assists the Master in the safety of the ship and cargo supervision. Additionally, they must maintain navigation and communication equipment in good working order.
