Seven Seas Maritime Services is looking for an experienced Second Engineer for an AHTS DP2 vessel in Qatar. The vessel, built in 2010, has 12,000 BHP, 150t BP and 2,503 DWT. Previous experience with QatarEnergy (QE) or QatarEnergy LNG (QE LNG) is preferred but not mandatory. QE approval could take up to 3 weeks, subject to all documents being compliant. The salary is USD 350 per day, equivalent to USD 10,500 per month, plus HRA allowance as per IBF. The joining date is as soon as possible.
The Second Engineer will stand engine room watches and be responsible for the maintenance and repair of propulsion and auxiliary systems, with particular focus on Niigata/CCAT 3516 series machinery. They will also assist in dynamic positioning (DP) operations. A valid Chief Engineer CoC and a DP Maintenance Certificate are required, along with all STCW documentation.
Under STCW, the Second Engineer must hold the appropriate qualification and demonstrate competence in the operation and maintenance of ship systems. The IBF agreement sets out the salary and employment conditions for this type of offshore support vessel. Experience on AHTS DP2 vessels and with Niigata/CCAT 3516 machinery is essential to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations.
