Boluda Shipping is seeking a Junior Financial Controller to join the Financial area of the Shipping division in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The role provides support in auditing, management control, reporting and financial administration, with duties including coordinating division audits and liaising with auditors and the management team.
The successful candidate will join a financial team within the maritime sector, contributing to the economic control of a shipping company. A background in finance or accounting and previous experience in similar roles are required. The contract is permanent.
Under STCW conventions, typical functions of a financial controller in the maritime field include monitoring vessel operating costs, preparing management reports and coordinating internal and external audits, although this is a shore-based position and does not require nautical qualifications.
