We are seeking a Chief Engineer for a DP2 platform supply vessel operating in South America. This is a one-off temporary assignment, with mobilisation on 30th November 2026 and a duration of 4 days handover plus 6 weeks on board. The salary is a day rate, subject to UK tax and National Insurance deductions.
The candidate must hold an unlimited Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC), DP Maintenance certificate and all other STCW certification required for the rank. Previous experience as Chief Engineer on DP-equipped offshore vessels operating within the UK/EU is essential. Travel is provided within the UK/EU.
Under the STCW Convention, the Chief Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all mechanical and electrical systems on board, as well as compliance with safety and environmental protection regulations. On DP vessels, they must also ensure the maintenance and availability of the dynamic positioning system.
