Full description

An Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) is required to join an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel at the end of November. The vessel is equipped with a Wartsila 8L26 main engine and two 3,650 BHP engines. The contract duration is 2 months, with the joining port to be confirmed, likely Varna (Bulgaria) or Malta. The salary is negotiable and will be agreed based on the candidate's experience. The candidate must have previous experience on AHTS vessels and be familiar with the maintenance of electrical and electronic systems, as well as the operation of the Wartsila 8L26 engine. STCW certification as an Electro-Technical Officer and compliance with maritime safety standards are required. Duties include preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, supervision of propulsion systems, and collaboration with the rest of the crew to ensure the vessel's operability. Under the STCW Convention, the Electro-Technical Officer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the ship's electrical and electronic systems, including navigation and communication equipment. Additionally, they must ensure compliance with safety and environmental protection regulations, in line with the SOLAS and MLC 2006 Conventions. Experience on AHTS vessels is essential for the role, as these vessels operate in demanding conditions and require a high degree of technical specialisation.
