A Chief Engineer is required to join a DP1 geophysical survey vessel in the United Arab Emirates. The contract is for an initial period of 4 weeks, with the possibility of extension. The start date is scheduled for 15 November.
The successful candidate must hold OPITO H2S, OPITO HUET, ADNOC Medical, ADNOC Induction and ADNOC Safe Welding certifications. These are mandatory for working on ADNOC offshore installations and ensure safety on board.
Under the STCW Convention, the Chief Engineer is responsible for the supervision and maintenance of all propulsion, auxiliary and safety systems on board, as well as ensuring compliance with international regulations. Previous experience on geophysical survey vessels and with DP systems is desirable.
