Balearia is seeking an Engine Cadet to join a passenger ship based in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The position is aimed at engineering graduates who wish to start their professional career in the maritime sector, gaining practical experience in the operation and maintenance of the ship's systems.
Under the supervision of the engineering officers, the cadet will participate in preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, as well as engine room watches. According to the STCW Convention, typical duties include assisting in the operation of propulsion and auxiliary systems, monitoring parameters, and contributing to the ship's safety duties.
The contract will be for a fixed term, common for this type of training position. No salary is specified in the offer. Maritime documentation must be valid.
