Full description

A Second Engineer is required to join a crude oil tanker of 161,762 DWT, built in 2011 in South Korea, with a MAN B&W 6S70MC-C8 main engine. The contract will be for 4 months plus 1 month of leave, with boarding scheduled for November. The salary offered is 11,000 to 11,400 USD per month, plus a bonus of 1,100 USD. The candidate must have at least 12 months of experience in the rank, good English and previous experience on crude oil tankers. Under the STCW Convention, the Second Engineer must hold the appropriate certificate of competency and tanker-specific training, and will be responsible for engine room watches, maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary systems, and assisting the Chief Engineer in the technical management of the vessel.
