A Chief Officer is required to join a 6,000 DWT general cargo ship. The contract will last 4 months, with a possible 1-month extension, and the salary offered is 7,000 to 7,200 USD per month. Joining is as soon as possible.
The position is open exclusively to Ukrainian nationals, with an age limit of 55. Previous experience as Chief Officer on general cargo ships and valid maritime documentation under the STCW Convention are required.
According to STCW, the typical duties of the Chief Officer include planning and supervising cargo operations, maintaining the ship's stability and trim, overseeing deck and equipment maintenance, and performing navigational watches.
