We are seeking a Chief Engineer and an ETO to join a Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) with DP2 dynamic positioning system. The joining date is mid to end of November, with a rotation of 2 months on and 2 months off, in the Namibia area. Stable previous experience on PSV, OSV or AHTS vessels is required, as well as DP maintenance experience, which is a mandatory requirement.
The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the supervision and maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary systems, as well as engine room management, in compliance with STCW regulations. The ETO will be responsible for the maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment, including DP systems. Both positions require valid maritime documents and specific certification for platform supply vessels.
According to STCW, basic safety training and specialised certificates are required for this type of vessel. The offered rotation is 2 months on board followed by 2 months of leave, providing job stability. The contracting company is Tidewater, a well-known operator in the offshore sector.
