Amergo Group is seeking a Chief Engineer to join container ships ranging from 1,000 to 25,000 TEUs. The salary offered is 9,500 to 11,000 USD per month. Under the STCW Convention, the Chief Engineer is responsible for the safety and efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical and auxiliary systems on board, as well as the maintenance and supervision of the engine department personnel. On container ships, they must coordinate cargo operations in relation to propulsion and power systems, and ensure compliance with SOLAS and MLC 2006 regulations within their department.
