An Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) is required to join an expedition vessel. The joining date is in January, with a contract of 4 months (+/- 1 month). Under the STCW Convention, the Electro-Technical Officer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the ship's electrical and electronic systems, including navigation and communication equipment, power generation and distribution, and control systems. They also contribute to the ship's safety and the prevention of electrical hazards.
The expedition vessel operates in remote areas, so adaptability and teamwork are valued. The contract includes a rotation of approximately 4 months on board, with an additional month of leave.
