A Second Engineer is required to join a bunkering vessel with embarkation at the beginning of November. The contract will last for 4 months, with the possibility of a 1-month extension. The offered salary is 5,500 USD per month. A good command of English and previous experience in the rank are required.
Under the STCW Convention, the Second Engineer is responsible for engine room watches and assists the Chief Engineer in the maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary systems. On a bunkering vessel, they may also be involved in fuel transfer operations, complying with safety and pollution prevention regulations under MARPOL.
