A Chief Engineer is required to join a Suezmax crude oil tanker (157,488 DWT, built in 2010 in South Korea) with a MAN B&W 6S70MC-C8 main engine. The contract will be for 4 months plus 1 month of vacation, with boarding scheduled for November. The salary offered is 13,000 to 14,000 USD per month, plus a 1,500 USD embarkation bonus. The hiring company is STMA Odessa.
The candidate must have at least 12 months of experience in the rank of Chief Engineer, good English, and previous experience on the same type of vessel (Suezmax). Under the STCW Convention, the Chief Engineer is responsible for the technical supervision and maintenance of all onboard systems, as well as compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Experience on tankers and leadership skills for the engine department are valued.
