Full description

A Second Engineer is required to join a crude oil tanker of 157,488 DWT, built in 2010 in South Korea and fitted with a MAN B&W 6S70MC-C8 main engine. The contract will be for 4 months plus 1 month of leave, with boarding scheduled for November. The salary offered is 11,000 to 11,400 USD per month, plus a 1,100 USD bonus. The candidate must have at least 12 months of experience in the rank, good English and previous experience on crude oil tankers. Under the STCW Convention, the Second Engineer is responsible for engine room watches and assists the Chief Engineer in the maintenance and operation of propulsion and auxiliary systems, in compliance with MARPOL safety and pollution prevention regulations. Boarding will take place in November and the selection process is managed by STMA Odessa. Experience on similar vessels and availability to join on the indicated date will be valued.
