A Second Engineer is required to join a Panamax bulk carrier of 92,524 DWT, built in 2007 in South Korea, with a MAN B&W 7S50MC-C main engine. The contract is for 4 months plus 2 months of leave, with joining in November. The salary offered is 8,500 to 8,900 USD per month or equivalent in Euros. The candidate must have at least 12 months of experience in the rank, good English and previous experience on the same type of vessel. Under the STCW Convention, the Second Engineer is responsible for engine room watches and assists the Chief Engineer in the maintenance and operation of propulsion and auxiliary systems.
