A Chief Engineer is required to join the bulk carrier CORINTHIAN SPIRE, a 32,154 DWT vessel built in 2009 and fitted with a Mitsubishi main engine of 6,620 kW. The offered salary is 9,500 USD per month. The port of embarkation is Kherson.
The Chief Engineer will be responsible for leading and supervising the engine department, ensuring the correct operation of propulsion and auxiliary systems, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance. They must comply with and enforce the safety and environmental protection regulations set out by SOLAS and international maritime regulations.
In accordance with STCW, the Chief Engineer must hold the appropriate certificate of competency and demonstrate experience on vessels of similar tonnage and engine type. Leadership and engine team management skills will be valued.
