A deck cadet is required to join a Ro-Ro ship on a 5-month contract plus 1 month of vacation. The salary offered is 500 USD per month. Embarkation will be coordinated through V.Ships, a crew management company, and the joining port will be confirmed during the selection process.
The deck cadet will work under the supervision of the deck officers, participating in navigational watches and in the cargo operations typical of a Ro-Ro vessel. According to the STCW Convention, the cadet must have completed basic safety training and be familiar with emergency procedures and the ISM Code. Good command of English and teamwork skills are valued.
This position is an opportunity to gain practical experience on board a Ro-Ro ship and to complete the training required to obtain an officer's certificate. The contract includes one month of vacation after the five-month embarkation period.
