An experienced Chief Officer is required to join an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel operating in Tunisian waters. The joining date is scheduled for the end of December, with a 2-month contract. The role requires proven offshore experience in the same rank on similar vessels, as well as DP Maintenance or full DP certification. Valid STCW documents, a medical certificate and relevant certificates are essential, along with a good command of English.
Under the STCW Convention, the Chief Officer is responsible for navigational watches and supervising deck operations, including towing and anchor handling manoeuvres typical of an AHTS. They will also assist the Master in the management of the vessel and in coordinating deck personnel.
The vessel operates in the Tunisia area, so knowledge of local conditions is an advantage. The contracting company is Lowland International, offering a 2-month rotation contract.
