A Second Engineer is required to join a Supramax Bulk Carrier of 55,621 DWT, flagged in Liberia, with a MAN B&W 6S50MC-C main engine of 8,820 kW. The contract is for 4 months, extendable by 1 month, with immediate joining. The salary offered is USD 6,700 to 7,500 per month, all-inclusive. Only Ukrainian candidates will be considered.
The vessel has five cargo holds and four cargo cranes of 30 MT each. The Second Engineer will be responsible for engine room watches, maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary systems, and supervision of the engine department. Previous experience on similar bulk carriers and with MAN B&W engines is essential, along with a good command of English and valid maritime documents.
Under the STCW Convention, the Second Engineer must hold a Certificate of Competency III/2 and be familiar with safety and emergency procedures. Additionally, the International Safety Management (ISM) Code requires all personnel to be trained in risk management and pollution prevention.
