A Second Officer is required to join a general cargo ship with joining dates on 6 November or 1 December. The contract will last for 6 months, plus or minus 1 month. The offered salary is 3,600 to 3,850 USD per month. Previous experience in the rank, good English and a US visa are required. Under the STCW Convention, the Second Officer is responsible for navigational watches, passage planning and maintenance of bridge equipment, under the supervision of the Master. They may also serve as safety officer if designated.
