Full description

A Chief Engineer is required to join a heavy lift general cargo ship with a joining date of 5 November. The contract will last 4 months, with a possible extension or reduction of 1 month. The salary offered is 9,200 to 9,500 USD per month. Previous experience in the rank, good English and a valid USA visa are required. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for supervising and maintaining all machinery systems on board, as well as managing the engine department. They must ensure compliance with international safety and environmental regulations and coordinate the personnel under their charge. According to the STCW Convention, the Chief Engineer must hold an appropriate certificate of competency and demonstrate experience on similar vessels.
