Full description

A Deck Officer is required to join a general cargo ship of the coaster type, with a joining date of 15 April 2027. The contract will last for 9 months, plus or minus 1 month. The offered salary is 1,305 USD per month. A good command of English and previous experience in the rank are required. Under the STCW Convention, the Deck Officer is responsible for navigational watches, the safety of the ship and supervising cargo operations. They must also assist with general maintenance and mooring and unmooring manoeuvres. Holding the appropriate certificate of competency under STCW Regulation II/1 and keeping basic training and medical certificates up to date is essential.
