A Third Officer is required to join an oil/chemical tanker of 5,000-19,000 DWT. The joining date is end of October or 1 December, with a contract of 5-6 months +/-1 month. The salary offered is 4,000 USD per month. Good English and experience in rank are required.
Under the STCW Convention, the Third Officer is responsible for navigational watches and the safety of the vessel, as well as assisting in cargo operations. On chemical tankers, they must also be familiar with hazardous cargo handling procedures and specific safety measures.
