A Chief Officer is required to join an oil/chemical tanker of 5,000-19,000 DWT. Joining is ASAP, with dates in mid to late October, 1-15 December and 15 January. The contract duration is 2-4 months, +/-1 month. The salary offered is 11,300 USD per month. Good English and experience in the rank are required.
Under STCW, the Chief Officer is responsible for navigational watch and the safety of the vessel, as well as supervising deck operations and cargo handling. On a chemical tanker, they must ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, particularly when handling chemical cargoes. Experience on this type of vessel and the relevant certificates are valued.
