A Third Officer is required to join a bulk carrier at the beginning of November. The contract will last for 6 months, plus or minus 1 month, with a salary of 3,100 to 3,400 USD per month. Good English and experience in the rank are essential.
The Third Officer will perform bridge watchkeeping duties, assisting with navigation and manoeuvring. They will also be involved in the maintenance of deck equipment and in safety and fire prevention tasks, in accordance with established procedures.
Under the STCW Convention, the Third Officer must hold the appropriate certificate of competency and meet the training and certification requirements for deck officers. Experience on bulk carriers will be positively valued.
