Amergo Group is seeking a Second Engineer to join a heavy lift vessel on 15 February. The contract will last 4 months, with the possibility of a 1-month extension. The salary offered is between 7,500 and 7,800 USD per month. A good command of English and previous experience in the rank are required.
Under the STCW Convention, the Second Engineer is responsible for engine room watches and supervising the maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary systems, under the authority of the Chief Engineer. On heavy lift vessels, this officer also assists in preparing and supervising the loading and unloading of large structures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
