A Third Officer is required to join a container ship. The contract will last 6 months, plus or minus 1 month, with joining dates between 5 and 20 January. The salary offered ranges from 3,106 to 3,400 USD per month. Good English and experience in the rank are required. Under the STCW Convention, the Third Officer is responsible for navigational watches, the safety of the vessel and cargo supervision. They must also be familiar with emergency procedures and the maintenance of navigation equipment. Experience on container ships is valued, although no minimum number of years is specified.
