Requirements

Responsibilities
According to the international STCW convention, the typical duties of a Chief Engineer on an ASD tugboat include supervising and maintaining the vessel’s propulsion systems and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational efficiency. The Chief Engineer is also responsible for managing the engine room team and the inventory of spare parts and supplies.
