Job description and key responsibilities: We are looking for a Chief Engineer (C/E) for a general cargo ship equipped with 4-stroke engines and a power output of less than 3,000 kW. The selected candidate will work as the sole engineer on board, with the assistance of boiler personnel. Responsibilities will include the maintenance and operation of propulsion systems and machinery on board, ensuring optimal performance during operations in the Baltic Sea.
Requirements and qualifications: The applicant must have previous experience in the role of Chief Engineer, specifically with 4-stroke engines. A good level of English is essential, and the candidate must be prepared to work as the sole engineer on board.
Additional details: The salary is negotiable. The position offers a rotation system of 2 months on board and 2 months off. The start date is planned for the summer of 2025.
