Description of the role and key functions: We are looking for a Chief Engineer for a Japanese-built Bulk Carrier, responsible for supervising and coordinating the operations and maintenance of the engine room. Responsibilities include ensuring the proper functioning of mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as managing the engineering crew on board. Requirements and qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role on board bulk cargo vessels is required. Solid knowledge in marine mechanics and electricity, and the ability to work with a mixed crew. Additional details: Joining date: 25th February 2025. Contract duration: 5+1 months.
