Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer for an LPG gas carrier (Suezmax type) within an international fleet. This position offers a competitive salary package with a flexible location and an April embarkation date.

  • Salary: 7000-7500$ + 150$ repatriation (RJ)

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 months experience in the same rank (Gas Engineer) on vessels of the same type (Suezmax)
  • Good level of English

Typical Functions

  • According to STCW, typical functions of a Gas Engineer on LPG vessels include: supervision of liquefied gas loading/unloading systems, maintenance of cryogenic equipment, control of pressure and temperature in tanks, and compliance with specific safety standards for gas carriers (such as the IGF Code).
  • In this case, specific experience on Suezmax vessels is required, which involves handling large capacity vessels (approximately 120,000-200,000 DWT) with complex gas systems.
