Description of the role and key responsibilities:
An opportunity is available for the position of 3rd Officer on board a Panamax type vessel with a deadweight of 82,768 tonnes, built in Japan in 2016. The selected candidate will be part of a mixed crew and will have key responsibilities in navigation, supervision of daily operations on board, and safety management in compliance with international maritime regulations.
Requirements and qualifications:
– Previous experience in a similar position on cargo vessels of Panamax type.
– Adequate qualifications and valid certifications to work as a 3rd Deck Officer.
– Ability to work in mixed crew environments and demonstrate effective communication skills.
Additional details:
– The contract duration is 5 months with the possibility of extension +/- 1 month.
– The vessel is owned by a German shipowner, and there are excellent prospects for promotion within a fleet of approximately 30 bulk carriers, with 5 new constructions planned from Japan by the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026.
