Position Description and key responsibilities: We are looking for a cook for a general cargo ship with a deadweight of between 3000 and 5000 tonnes. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing meals for the crew on board, ensuring high standards of hygiene and quality in food preparation. Additionally, they will manage the inventory of provisions and coordinate with the staff to maintain an efficient and orderly service in the ship’s kitchen.

Requirements and qualifications: Previous experience as a cook in the maritime sector, preferably on cargo ships. Ability to work in a multicultural environment; experience with crews composed of members from the EU, Ukraine, and Georgia will be valued. Valid maritime safety and food handling certifications.

Additional details: Start date: 20th February 2025. Contract duration: 4 ± 1 months. There is no cost to the candidate for employment. Salary: £2000 per month.
