Description of the role and key responsibilities: We are looking for a 2nd Officer to embark on different types of ships, including container ships and general cargo vessels. Responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of the vessel, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, and collaborating with the captain and the first officer. Candidates will work on technologically advanced ships with MAN BW engines and gross tonnages ranging from 4102t to 94483t.
Requirements and qualifications:
– Previous experience in similar roles on container ships or general cargo vessels.
– Proper professional training and valid STCW certifications.
– Advanced knowledge in navigation and onboard safety management.
– Leadership skills and effective communication abilities.
Additional details:
– Contract: 4+-1 months.
– Joining date: Varies depending on the ship, from ASAP to early February.
– Salary: Ranges between 3600 EUR and 4300 USD, depending on the ship and flag state.
– Flag states of the ships: Portugal, Liberia, and Cyprus.
– The ships are relatively modern, built between 2003 and 2025.
